Department of Theatre Pedagogy enjoys abundant educational resources and excellent faculty members. With the goal of training excellent drama teachers for primary and secondary schools, it combines practice with theoretical lessons in order during its training that prioritizes the students’ artistic creativity and the organizing and planning skills for drama teaching. The Department of Theatre Pedagogy now offers course in Directing for Theatre, Film and TV Art that specializes in Theatre Pedagogy.

It is the mission of the Department to cultivate interdisciplinary professionals that are accomplished in art and literature, and possess both theoretical and practical skills in drama creation to teach drama in primary, secondary and tertiary schools, and to organize activities of performing arts.

The course is consisted of such modules as Theatre Pedagogy, Designing of Drama Classes, Acting, Directing, Stage Language Skills, Stage Physical Skills, Appreciation and Adaptation of Plays, Basics of Stage Design, Essentials of Music, Educational Psychology, Basics of Xiqu Directing, Dramatic Aesthetics, Basics of Play-writing, and some general required courses.
