From October 23 to 28, eight workshops were conducted as part of the WTEA International Theatre Festival 2023. They are:
1. "Exercises on Voice, Physicality, and Energy, and Chorality in Ancient Greek Drama" by Prof. Giorgos Zamboulakis from the Athens Conservatoire Drama School, Greece
2. "There Is More Than Just One Way", a musical workshop by Prof. Jurgen Beyer from Ernst Busch University of Dramatic Arts, Germany
3. "Improvisation" by Mr. Alexander Khukhlin, a director with Russian Institute of Theatre Arts, Russia
4. "The Body As A Word" by Dr. Tamta Tavdishvili from Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, Georgia
5. "Stage Performance" by Ms. Tachibana Kayo from Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music, Japan
6. "Carpet Play" by Prof. Baek Nam-Young from the Department of Theatre, Chung-Ang University, Republic of Korea
7. "Wall-To-Wall Shakespeare: Choice-Making Through an Exploration of the Humors" by Prof. Lance Marsh from School of Theatre, Oklahoma City University, the US
8. "How Body and Mask in Traditional Chinese Performing Arts Are Used in Contemporary Theatre" by Mr. Zhao Miao from the Directing Department of the Central Academy of Drama, China
Specifically Prof. Giorgos Zamboulakis'workshop was conducted on October 22, to students from the Department of Directing, the Central Academy of Drama, then again in Guilin; and Mr. Zhao Miao's workshop took place in Guilin. The rest of them were conduct once from October 23-25 at the CAD and open to students from diferent institutions. The participants had a great time in these inspiring workshops that featured various theatrical methods and practical experence.
