On the evening of November 4, 2008, Professor Pak Tong Cheuk, the Head of the Department of Film and Television at Hong Kong Baptist University, delivered a special lecture titled ‘Hong Kong New Wave Cinema: Enriching Experimental Spirit’ to the students of the Department of Film and Television. Professor Pak Tong Cheuk provided an in-depth and engaging presentation on topics such as the origins and development of the Hong Kong New Wave cinema movement, comparisons with new film trends in other regions, and the significance and contributions of Hong Kong cinema. He alsoshared iconic works of Hong Kong New Wave cinema for the students, including ‘I’m woman’ and ‘Ah Ying’.

Following the lecture, Professor Cheuk answered numerous questions, and the students responded enthusiastically. This lecture expanded and enriched the students' understanding of Hong Kong and global cinema, broadening their horizons in the field.
