On March 25, Xu Yongsheng, President of the Central Academy of Drama, met with Ronan Ynard, Secretary General and Associate Artistic Director of Théâtre du Nord in Lille, France. The meeting was also attended by Li Jin (Director), Chen Yi, and Wu Guoyu from the Academy’s Foreign Affairs Office.

Mr. Ynard expressed his delight at visiting the Central Academy of Drama for the first time before he introduced Théâtre du Nord, which consists of a National Centre for Dramatic Creation (Centre Dramatique National) and a drama school, and has a history of over seventy-five years. He shared his hope that this visit would open the door to future cooperation between the two institutions, fostering collaboration in areas such as student exchanges, international performances, and faculty exchanges.
President Xu extended a warm welcome to Mr. Ynard and highlighted the longstanding friendship between China and France, as well as the increasingly close economic and cultural ties between the two countries. He noted that, as key players in theatre arts education in their respective nations, both institutions should join hands, learn from each other, stay grounded in current realities, and embrace the future.
