On April 15, President Xu Yongsheng met with Rector George Shalutashvili of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, and Nana Letsveridze, Head of the International Relations Office, at the Academy’s Changping Campus. 

President Xu extended a warm welcome to President Shalutashvili and his colleague. He noted that over the past sixteen years, the two institutions have maintained a close partnership and achieved fruitful results through a wide range of exchanges and collaborations. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that the establishment of the International Puppetry Education Alliance would serve as a new catalyst for collaboration.

President George Shalutashvili expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality. He noted that Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University highly values its partnership with the Central Academy of Drama. He expressed his expectation that, building upon existing cooperation platforms, the two universities will continue to diversify their forms of collaboration and open a new chapter in theatrical education and cultural exchange between China and Georgia.

Attendees also included Li Jin, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office; Jia Shanshan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Acting Department; Tito Lorefice, foreign faculty member of the Acting Department; and Xiang Yueyi from the Foreign Affairs Office.
