On the afternoon of June 3, Mrs. Amna Al Hammadi, Deputy Chief of Mission of Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Beijing, along with Sabrine Taboubi, Consular and Health Affairs Specialist from the Embassy, visited the Changping campus of the Central Academy of Drama (CAD). They were warmly received by President Hao Rong. The meeting was also attended by Director Ju Ping of Foreign Affairs Office, and Xiang Yueyi from the same office.

Prof. Hao started by welcoming the delegation and provided an overview of the CAD's history and academic programs. Hao mentioned that after more than 70 years of development, the CAD now offers a wide range of courses covering all aspects of the performing arts. It not only focuses on the preservation of traditional Chinese arts but also strives to expand the boundaries of artistic forms. Hao extended an invitation to UAE art institutions to join the international organization initiated by the CAD, aiming to diversify its membership and introduce the profound and diverse Arab culture to more people.

Mrs. Al Hammadi expressed that on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE, the UAE Embassy looks forward to deepening bilateral cooperation through cultural and artistic exchanges. She hopes to leverage the strengths of the CAD, a leading drama education institution in China, to foster various forms of exchange through theatrical arts. Al Hammadi explored potential areas of cooperation, including student and faculty exchanges, exhibitions of artworks, educational exchanges, Arab students taking courses in China, performances at the Embassy, and competitions for creating works on China-UAE relations. She also expressed her intention to actively involve excellent UAE institutions in activities organized by international organizations such as the Asian Theatre Education Centre (ATEC).

Subsequently, the delegation observed a classical dance class for the 2nd-year undergraduates, instructed by A.Prof. Huang Wei of the Department of Dance Theatre. They were also guided by Ms. Liu Yuanjun, Deputy Director of the Practice-based Education Centre, and colleagues on a tour of the CAD's Theatre Centre and Film and Television Arts Building. The two distinguished guests were impressed by the advanced and fully-equipped facilities for theatre and film teaching, along with the poised yet powerful sword dance performance by the students of Dance Theatre.
