On the morning of September 27, President Hao Rong held discussions with Professor Helena Gaunt, the Principal of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD), and Ms. Emilie Wang, International Partnerships, Business Development & Projects Manager of RWCMD. Also present were Ju Ping, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, and Jesse Chen, Project Manager from the same office.
The meeting started by President Hao’s warm greetings to Professor Gaunt and her colleague. He noted that the two institutions have maintained frequent exchanges and visits in recent years, demonstrating their mutual commitment to future international collaboration. He expressed confidence that this visit would further strengthen ties and cooperation, and he looked forward to working together with RWCMD to establish a new platform for the research in Chinese and British dramatic arts, as well as to cultivate leading professionals with a global perspective for the industry.
Professor Gaunt expressed her pleasure at revisiting the CAD and her honor in joining the World Theatre Education Alliance (WTEA) upon the recommendation of the CAD, and she looked forward to contributing to the exchange of dramatic arts with other member schools. Additionally, she expressed eagerness for deeper and more substantial cooperation in areas such as faculty exchanges and student development.
Following the discussions, both parties renewed their MOU as a milestone for further collaboration in education and research.
