The Symposium of TAN Peisheng Theatre Theories opened at the Academy on Oct.19 2013. 150 theatre experts and professors from Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Hunan, Hebei, Yunnnan, Fujiang, Hong Kong and Taiwan participated in the symposium. Wang Wenzhang, the Deputy-Minister of the Ministry of Culture and the Director of Chinese addressed the opening ceremony.

In the two-day symposium, the experts discussed TAN Peisheng’s theatre theories on the themes of “ Returning to the self of theatre”, “ Borrowing and Creation”, “ Inheritance and Development”,” Creation and Criticism” and “Dialogue and Debate”.
