Blair Bybee has studied at Tarkio University of Missouri, USA and got double bachelor‘s degree in Dance Performing and Theatre Art. From 1988 to 2015, he has been teaching Musicals and Dance at North Dakota State University, Tarkio University of Missouri, Columbia College Chicago and Central Washington University.

Broadway‘s Musicals he acted including Gilligan in Gilligan’s Island, Seymour in The Little Shop of Horrors, Bobby in Crazy for You etc. He also did film acting several times. He has obtained the Best Young Chreographer of the Year 1990 selected by the Dance Magazine.

His main direction musicals including Hairspray, Into The Woods, High School Musical, Anything Goes, Crazy For You, Gypsy etc.

He has worked for the Grandstreet Theatre and Idaho Summer Theater as Atistic Director, now he took the position at ArtsQuest Theatricals NY.

His essays published including Step by step: Professional choreographer teaches students moves to 'Gypsy', Theatre World 1992-1993 etc.

Blair Bybee is our long-term Guest Director. Since 2018, he has been to our Academy several times conducting musicals‘ workshops, teaching musicals‘ direction and doing rehearsing. The musicals Lucky Stiff was one of the works he directed for young teachers and students of the Musical Department.
