On October 20, 2009 the Cross-strait Forum on Theatre Education For College Students 2009 was held at East Hall, Experimental Theatre, Dongcheng Campus of the CAD.

Attendees included teachers and students from the Department of Drama of Taipei University of the Arts, Department of Performing Arts of Shu-Te University from Kaohsiung, Department of Multimedia Design of Taichung Institute of Technology, as well as the CAD. Professor Zhang Xian, Director of the Department of Theatre Pedagogy of the CAD, served as the moderator of the forum. Teachers from each institution delivered wonderful speeches, and the forum ended after heated and friendly discussions.
