Born in April 1966, Mr. Xu Yongsheng is a CPC member, a professor, and a master's advisor.

He has successively served as the Assistant to President, Standing Committee Member of the CPC CAD Committee, Vice President, Head of the CAD's Academic Committee, and Secretary the CPC CAD Committee.

He holds multiple posts beyond his duty at the CAD, including Vice President of China Committee for Promoting Art Education, Vice Chairman of National Steering Committee for Art Education at Higher Education Institutions, Vice President of China Drama Association, and Vice President of Beijing Theatre Association.

He presides over academic (teaching), research and administrative affairs and oversees the Department of Acting and the Department of Directing.
